The images of this site are hosted on the online archiving platform Nakala, developed by the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS, Paris), Aix-Marseille University and Campus Condorcet. Here is a short manual on how to navigate it.

On a computer

When clicking on the name of a monument/heritage site, its corresponding page on the Nakala platform opens up:

Step 1: Choose the “Thumbnail view”
Step 2: To view an individual image, A) click on the options menu on the image thumbnail, B) click on the “View” button

We are intending to provide a custom, smoother interface in the future for navigating the images.

On a mobile

When clicking on the name of a monument/heritage site, its corresponding page on the Nakala platform opens up:

Step 1: Choose the “Thumbnail view”
Step 2: For more comfort in viewing the thumbnails, switch from mobile to desktop view in the mobile browser
Step 3: To view an individual image, A) click on the options menu on the image thumbnail, B) click on the “View” button
